The objects for which the Institute is established are :

To encourage and
promote the study of export practices in all its phases. |

To initiate, foster
and maintain investigations and research into the best means and
methods of export practice, the problems involved and their most
satisfactory solution. |

To extend, increase
and disseminate knowledge and exchange information and ideas in
regard to all questions connected with export and to assist and
further in all practicable ways the development of export in the
national interest. |

To devise and impose
means for testing the qualifications of candidates for admission to
membership of the Institute by examination or by any other actual or
practical tests or to arrange with any school, college or institute
for any such tests and to grant certificates of qualifications to
successful candidates. |

To form or acquire by
purchase, donation, bequest or otherwise a library and to acquire,
sell or exchange books, works or manuscripts and to compile, print,
publish, lend, sell or distribute books, papers, pamphlets,
statistics and other informations for the purpose of disseminating
knowledge and stimulate interest and promote the object of the
institute. |

To ascertain, compile,
collate, revise print and publish statistics, professional records
and other informations, books, pamphlets or periodicals relating to
any of the objects of the Institute. |
 |
To afford facilities for
communications and interchange of views between members and
government departments, public bodies, institutions and associations
of all kinds on matters directly affecting the interests of the
profession.
